New and unworn, handmade in London at Algha Works over 25 years ago, these 14k rolled-gold frames are a real piece of history.
Originally set up in London in 1932, this factory has supplied stars such as John Lennon and Eric Clapton with their famous glasses.
It spent much of the 1940s and 1950s making the famous 'round eye' NHS glasses. Hand made in the same factory using virtually the same production process.
These are genuine vintage Savile Row frames. At least 25 years old and still in the original box (the box isn't pristine, but great for its age).
These frames have a unique design - the lenses are fitted using a rimless fixing system, but the fixings are mounted on a 'half rim' style frame, (and not within the frame as in the usual method). Classic hooked ear pieces.
